Come to Art Cafe, a creative hangout with hot drinks, snacks and a creative group project to dive into.  Suitable for age 14 – 18 year olds.   This is your space to meet friends, express yourself, and make something amazing together.  

Baby Disco is a high-energy, family-friendly dance party where babies, toddlers, mums, and dads can come together to move, play, and enjoy something truly unique. We take classical music and transform it with fun, upbeat dance rhythms – creating the perfect soundtrack for little ones (and grown-ups!) to bop along to.

A relaxed and welcoming chance to play the Steinway grand piano in An Lanntair’s auditorium. Whether you have a polished piece or something you’re still working on, this is a space to share your playing in a supportive, social setting.

Explore some of the things that have made artists tick, both in the past and present. From the What and the Who, to How the world they lived in, influenced their creative minds.

Join us for a fun, creative week of dance led by an experienced YDance tutor – Beth Gildea. Learn a variety of styles including Jazz, Street, Contemporary, creative and more and finish the week with a sharing on the final day!

The session will start with a story from the beautiful book ‘Scottish Mythical Creatures’ written by Theresa Breslin and illustrated by Kate Leiper.  Children will then make drawings and re-tell the story through shadow puppetry, projection and movement.

Get creative with concrete in this hands-on workshop with Robbie Thompson that explores how to design and build fun, functional sculptures to be installed on our forecourt.

Music Broth, Scotland’s Loudest Library are coming back to An Lanntair with lots of musical instruments to try!
This event is fun for all ages, with our music librarian on hand to help with trying instruments for the first time.

Creative art studio session for young people age 12 – 16 led by artist Kirsten Mcilroy.  We’ll start with observational drawing which you will develop into expressive artworks.
