Come hang out and learn songwriting techniques and skills with the five string banjo. We’ll discuss moods, tunings and rhythms to bring shape and accompaniment to our wildest complaints and passions. Bring your banjo or other stringed instrument if you like, and maybe we’ll write a song.

Drop in to the Art Lanntair art tent at the top of the castle green for some creative fun. Create miniature indigenous animals and sea creatures to populate an island landscape. You can also add to the large collaborative artworks by painting animals on panels. Fun for all ages led by An Lanntair arts workers.

Join a band boot camp where you’ll pick a couple of songs — covers or originals — and work on them with musician Scott C Park. You’ll learn rehearsal techniques, song-writing and arrangement tips, and how to tighten up and grow as a band.
