The Merc with a Mouth is back for this loud, lewd and action-packed sequel, in which our trigger-happy anti-hero (Ryan Reynolds) forms a new mutant team – the X-Force – to protect young mutant Russell (Julian Dennison, star of Hunt for the Wilderpeople) from the time-travelling cybernetic mutant soldier, Cable (Josh Brolin). Part ‘odd couple’ comedy, part explosive action flick, part The Magnificent Seven, this promises more of the irreverent, self-referential action that typified the first film.
