FACLAN: Fèis Litreachas Innse Gall
The Hebridean Book Festival.
Faclan this year dwells on the long archipelago of the Outer Hebrides. It’s weather and environment, language and divergent voices, its traditions and future. There is memoir, marriage, meteorology. Even murder. Counterpointed by three classic films: The Edge of the World (1937), Whisky Galore (1949), The Maggie (1954)
