Join Eilidh for a fun double whammy of Traditional Music workshops and learn a simple medley of tunes. This is a chance to play with other instruments, explore different types of tunes and meet other musicians. These workshops are in addition to our weekly term-time Youth Trad, so whether you’ve been with us before, or are totally new everyone is welcome. Youth Trad is for young people in P7 and up, and some basic ability in an instrument is required. Bring your instrument. Key-boards, guitars, whistles and bodhrans are available to use.

If you like, you can download these tunes before the sessions to familiarise yourself with them:

Fairy Dance

Lovely Stornoway A Major

Orange and Blue

The session will be led by Eilidh Young, an arts worker, music teacher and pipe-band drummer.  To find out more, email Eilidh at: eyoung1x@gnes.net

This session is part of Stepping Stones which supports children, young people and families to access the arts and to be creative.  Funded by the Bank of Scotland Foundation.
