An Lanntair’s Artist Gatherings are monthly social events for island artists of all disciplines, from music, film and theatre to visual art and design. You don’t need to be established or professional to come along. Everyone is welcome and we are here to support all forms of creativity.
Each month we invite two special guests to share their work. This month we’re delighted to welcome a songwriter and a novelist, both from the Isle of Lewis.
UPDATE, 22 March – Sadly Scott C Park is now unable to be with us tonight because of cancelled ferries. Instead, songwriter Martin Flett will be talking about the album he has been recording with Scott and Keith Morrison at Wee Studio, with support from An Lanntair’s artist mentoring programme. Scott will join us at a later date.
GR Jordan writes crime fiction, urban fantasy, adventure and Lovecraftian fantasy, and has sold almost 200,000 books to date via his imprint Carpetless Publishing. This month he is travelling to the 20Books conference in Seville, part-funded by a travel bursary from An Lanntair’s artist support programme, and will be reflecting on this trip and his creative process .
Our Artist Gatherings are part of An Lanntair’s Artist Support Programme, supported by the Foyle Foundation.
If you’d like to share your work at a future Artist Gathering, contact Andrew Eaton-Lewis at andrew@anlanntair.com. All contributors will be paid a fee.
