Aonadh – Hebridean Songwriting Festival

Thurs 17 - Sat 19 Sept

Aonadh – Hebridean Songwriting Festival is an exciting new celebration of original music, taking place in Stornoway from 17th – 19th September 2026.

Bringing together emerging and established singer-songwriters from across the Outer Hebrides, Scotland and beyond, the festival will showcase the very best in contemporary songwriting through a vibrant programme of live concerts, intimate performances, film, collaborative sessions and creative workshops.

Audiences can enjoy headline performances alongside unique opportunities to hear new music in development, while aspiring songwriters will be able to learn from experienced artists through peer exchange and workshops exploring songwriting craft, lyric writing and performance.

Based at An Lanntair, Aonadh aims to strengthen the platform for original music in the islands, support local talent, foster new creative partnerships and attract visitors to the Outer Hebrides for a distinctive cultural experience rooted in place, language and creativity.
