Workshops

Clàr: Stage Design Workshops

Wednesdays, 4pm-7pm
Free, but booking essential

Clàr is a weekly arts workshop for 14 – 25 year olds with a focus on technology and digital media.

Each term we have a different focus from animation to game design, with an event or public showcase at the completion of the project.

Clàr is kicking off 2024 with a show-stopping series of stage design workshops. Learn how to control a lighting rig, create visuals that bring a performance to life, and build an immersive set. We’ll be working towards a showcase event in May where we’ll take over the auditorium and produce a concert for local bands.

School Kids’ Juxtaposing Images

P6 and P7 classes in Stornoway Primary took part in At Sea workshops with Dan Shay and Danielle Macleod. The children learned about the sailing residency which artists Dan Shay, Bethany Rigby, Beatrice Lopez, Rachel Bailey and Alasdair Doyle took to St Kilda in 2019, and their subsequent exhibition in An Lanntair. The children used juxtaposing images to make amazingly creative collages which inspired stories about journeys.
