This exhibition features scenes of the fishing industry in Stornoway Harbour through the years, the earliest reference photo was taken in 1878 and the last one was taken by myself in 2017.
I wanted to pick a few scenes to paint in watercolour and put them in date order so we can see some of the changes as the years go on.
This was a very interesting project for me as I had never really appreciated just how much the fishing industry contributed to the local economy and just how many different workers were employed in the different roles within the industry.
