    Children can discover the wonders of the natural world through Seabirds Art Workshops, taking place in community venues across Lewis and Harris! These fun, creative sessions are designed to spark imagination and inspire young artists as they learn about the unique seabird species that call the islands home.

    During HebCelt, relax for a while in the Art Tent at the top of the Castle Green.  You can paint your own Lewis Chessman, similar to the 12th century game pieces discovered in Uig in 1831. Then use your completed chess piece to play the big boardgame where you make up the rules.

    Puirt à beul meaning ‘tunes from the mouth’ is a traditional form of Gaelic song.  Historically it was used to accompany dancing in the absence of instruments.  This workshop with singer Mischa Macpherson is suitable for both beginners and experienced singers who would like to know more about this unique form.
