Would you like to develop an idea to showcase in a ten-minute performance as part of this year’s Faclan: the Hebridean Book Festival?

Faclan will return to An Lanntair from Wednesday 30 October to Saturday 2 November, with a top line-up of author events, film screenings, and more.

The theme of this year’s festival is ‘human nature’, and as part of this year’s Faclan Fringe programme we are looking for artists who work with performance – spoken word performers, musicians, singers, stand up comedians, poets, film-makers, theatre practitioners or cross disciplinary artists – who would be interested in responding to this theme in some way as part of Nature / Nurture, our first Faclan Fringe Scratch Night.

This is a great opportunity to test ideas you may already have, or to try something totally different, in front of our Faclan audience.

You will get the support you need to develop your idea, to practice your piece, find collaborators, plus technical support on the night and an opportunity to document and record your performance. You will also receive a £40 fee for taking part on the night

If you are interested in participating, please email sandra.kennedy@lanntair.com or Andrew@lanntair.com no later than 30 August.
