During Johnathan Bell’s exhibition ‘Atharrachadh: Transmutation’, children aged 8 – 12 can join Trish Bell to make their own assemblage artworks. Bring along interesting and clean beach finds like plastic, wood, feathers, shells and bones to turn into wall art and sculptures. Children will learn about the process of beach clear-ups which help to save wildlife from the dangers of ingesting and becoming entangled in plastic waste.
Trish Bell, a jewellery maker based in Uig, worked with Johnathan on ‘Atharrachadh : Transmutation’ by collecting beach waste each day when walking with their dog Vinnie, and in the development of the many sculptures.
