Fraser MacBeath will lead a workshop in ‘Making Electronic Music From Field Recordings’ for young people age 12 – 16. After an introduction to deep listening practices, the group will use recording devices to capture sounds in the town, then mix them into a track together. Fraser will also give insights into his exhibition ‘Aghaidh Ris An Achadh: Facing the Field’ in an Lanntair’s main gallery.

This project is part of An Lanntair’s Youth Arts Project supported by Young Start. Young Start aims to create opportunities for Scotland’s children and young people aged 8 to 24 to help them realise their full potential. Young Start is a grants programme run by The National Lottery Community Fund, which distributes money from dormant bank accounts.
