Nosferatu

100th anniversary of the film with live piano accompaniment.

100 years on, the earliest surviving screen adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula remains an influential masterpiece with claims to be the greatest vampire movie ever.  Its eerie, gothic feel and a chilling performance from Max Schreck as the Count set the template for the horror films that followed.  Accompanied by Peter Urpeth on Grand Piano.

Peter is a pianist, harmoniumist and composer working mostly in improvisation, jazz, theatre music and alternative performance art forms often in collaborations with other musicians, actors, writers and storytellers. Silent movies are in his blood as his aunt, Constance Urpeth, was a performer in cinemas throughout London during the heyday of the silent movie era.
