A fun and interactive workshop exploring themes of growing up in a climate emergency and how we can respond actively and creatively. Through drama we have the opportunity to unpick complicated emotional responses and explore our individual and collective climate journey with humour and empathy. Drawing on themes from Maya and the Whale; activism, powerlessness and hope, this is a practical opportunity to discover and act out some of your own stories in a relaxed and supportive group. Hazel Darwin-Clements, writer and performer of Maya and the Whale says “I’m really looking forward to finding out how folk respond to these themes- so whether you’ve thought about climate stories a lot, or not at all, you’re very welcome to come along and see what it’s all about.”
You don’t need any previous drama experience. Suitable for all climate conscious young people age 12+. Snacks will be provided.
** Book your tickets to see the play ‘Maya and the Whale’ by Hazel Darwin-Clements on Wed 4th March. **
