Canadian singer-songwriter Joe H. Henry makes his highly anticipated debut on the Isle of Lewis this June, bringing a powerful blend of roots, soul, and storytelling to An Lanntair.

For Joe, this is far more than just another show.

Joe’s connection to Lewis runs deep- his grandfather and great grandfather hailed from Aird Point, making this visit a powerful return to his ancestral roots.

Musically, Joe H. Henry is known for his rich, soulful voice and emotionally resonant songwriting, drawing on influences from folk, Americana, and Celtic traditions. His songs carry a rare authenticity – stories of identity, belonging, and the ties that bind us across oceans and generations.

Joe’s journey has already seen him cross paths with some remarkable figures. After moving to Nova Scotia, he formed a close friendship with the late Bruce Guthro, whose legacy continues to inspire artists on both sides of the Atlantic. That connection now comes full circle through Runrig, as drummer Iain Bayne discovered Joe by chance and invited him to feature on his upcoming album.

Ahead of his Lewis debut, Joe will also record vocals for The Common Flame at Wee Studio – adding another chapter to this growing musical story rooted in collaboration and shared heritage.

With a voice that bridges continents and songs that speak straight to the heart, Joe H. Henry’s first performance at An Lanntair promises to be a truly special and unforgettable evening.
