Creative Connections is a series of free creative workshops for adults over the age of 60 in the Western Isles who feel isolated as a result of their circumstances – be it geographical remoteness, disability or any other disadvantage. If this applies to you, you can book any of our Creative Connections workshops. You can make a booking for a friend or family member if they would like to take part.

‘Colours of Autumn’ Print workshops with artist Gill Thompson

Over the course of 6 weekly sessions you will make a versatile A5 ‘tab’ book which you will fill with hand-printed images to celebrate the wonderful autumnal colours of nature. Each session will focus on a different print technique which you will be able to experiment with. You will then be able to make similar books in your own time to fill with words and images of your choice. These make lovely gifts or keep them to yourself for journaling or sketching.

You will receive a kit of materials before the course starts. This will include ink and paper to keep and a roller and gelli plate which should be returned to An Lanntair after the course.  All you need to provide is a pencil, scissors, craft knife, some seasonal leaves and seed heads, and your imagination.

The sessions will be delivered via Zoom and a link will be emailed to you. Please ensure that your address is correct on your An Lanntair account when booking. If you don’t have a device you can borrow one from An Lanntair for the duration of the course – email moira@anlanntair.com.

Book by 29th Sept to receive materials in time for the first session.
