This engaging music history class introduces children to some of the world’s most famous classical composers. Each week, students will discover the life story, personality, and musical achievements of a different composer, exploring how their experiences influenced the music they wrote.
Through guided listening, games, and simple musical activities, children will become familiar with well-known compositions that remain recognisable and celebrated today. The class encourages curiosity, understanding, and appreciation of classical music, helping young learners connect historical stories with the sounds that continue to shape music around the world.
Suitable for age 8 – 12.
The session will be led by Eilidh Young, an arts worker, music teacher and pipe-band drummer. To find out more, email Eilidh at: eyoung1x@gnes.net
We can make tickets available free of charge for children who would benefit from Classical Kids, but for whom cost would be a barrier. Contact moira@anlanntair.com for details.
