A one-act play that explores one person’s attempt to use Alexa (Artificial Intelligence) to retain their autonomy despite having dementia. The play has both very funny and very sad moments and is based on the author’s own experience of dementia and technology. Set in one room, which is the extent of Ron’s world, the piece is interspersed with song, poetry and dance that is designed to allow the audience to share Ron’s journey. At the end of the play, there is an opportunity to discuss with the writer and the cast issues that are raised by the performance.
