Join artist Moira Maclean for a wonderful two-day creative workshop designed for adults who want to explore painting and collage in a relaxed and inspiring studio environment.
Inspired by the returning birdlife of summer and the songs of the season, this course offers the opportunity to develop a unique mixed-media artwork while experimenting with new techniques, textures and ideas.
On day one, you will explore a range of expressive paint applications, focusing on colour, texture, mark-making and pattern through a series of creative exercises and experiments.
On day two, you will transform your painted papers into a vibrant summer bird artwork using collage techniques, composition and layered imagery.
Participants are encouraged to bring along their own visual references, found papers, collage materials or personal memorabilia to incorporate into their work.
All materials will be provided.
