An Lanntair’s Artist Gatherings are monthly social events for island artists of all disciplines, from music, film and theatre to visual art and design. Everyone is welcome and we are here to support all forms of creativity.
Our December event is a festive gathering with mince pies at which we’ll be talking winter creativity with artist Jon Macleod (pictured), who’ll share his experiences of performing at the Ice Music Festival in Norway. We also invite everyone attending to bring one (or both) of two things:
- Something that has inspired you creatively this year which you think other people might enjoy. This could be a book, a piece of music, a piece of art, or something else entirely. (If it doubles as a Christmas gift recommendation, all the better, but this is not at all essential).
- Something you made yourself this year, or are currently working on, that you would like to share.
Everyone will then be invited to share the things they have brought with them with the group. If you’re feeling at all shy about talking in front of everyone, don’t worry, you don’t have to. A few short words will do. Or you can simply show us what you’ve brought with you.
