The Travelling Gallery will be touring to Ness, Stornoway and Tarbert from Tues 11th – Thurs 13th June.

Scotland’s community ownership journey over the last 100 years… and where we go next
The exhibition will tell the stories and achievements of the pioneers of community ownership, a movement that has transformed Scotland. The gallery will be exhibiting contemporary artwork, including sculpture and film, by Virginia Hutchison, Richard Bracken and Colin Tennant & Saskia Coulson; and new commissions by Francia Boakye, Kate O’Shea, and Emma Duncan, Jan Little & Helen Walsh. The new commissions are being realised by North Edinburgh Arts; Isle of Eigg Heritage Trust, Govanhill Baths Community Trust and Bothy Project; and Langholm Initiative & Creation Mill, with funding from Creative Scotland.
Where We Stand is a partnership between Travelling Gallery and Community Land Scotland, as part of the 100 Years of Community Ownership project, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. The exhibition and tour are supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Creative Scotland. Since 1978 it’s been bringing exhibitions to communities throughout Scotland delivering an artistic programme which inspires and engages a wide audience.
