Lews Castle College UHI now offers the full four year BA (Honours) Fine Art degree, delivered from studios within the Taigh Chearsabhagh Arts Centre and Museum http://www.taigh-chearsabhagh.org/ in Lochmaddy, North Uist.

Part time and full time study options are available for those inspired to spend time on Uist or already resident there. Short term participation on six and twelve week degree level creative modules such as drawing, photography and printmaking, allows students the flexibility to spend up to the full four years on the course.

Lews Castle College offers practicing artists the opportunity to participate informally in training and development. A Continuing Art Practice flexible learning course is offered throughout the year which gives access to skills workshops, critical reviews, lectures and discussion groups.

As a practicing artist, you may also wish to gain art and design qualifications through Lews Castle College at various levels, through RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning). Prior learning can include previous informal study, industry experience and attendance at workshops or other forms of practical experience.

Lews Castle College also offers a one year NC Art and Design requiring no previous experience, with part time and full time study options and introductory short courses.
