Phil, a robust middle-aged man suffers a stroke, causing him to lose his memory. Millie, who takes care of him, tells him falsely that they were secretly in love before his accident.
The film premiered at the Toronto Film Festival & both Glasgow and Inverness Film Festivals in 2022 which was then followed by its domestic release in France resulting in strong reviews. It has had a successful festival run, including the award for Best Cinematography at Film Festival Oostende; Best Actor and Best Actress Awards at Chicago IFF. It was the winner of Grand Prix du Jury at La Roche-sur-Yon IFF and won Best Film and Best Director awards at the 12th edition of Belgium’s Magritte Film Awards.
