Western Isles for Palestine present:  music from Kathryn Joseph and Lomond Campbell. Alongside poetry, film and talks.

All proceeds to MAP – https://www.map.org.uk/

Join us in solidarity with the people of Gaza for an evening of music, poetry, film and talks to help raise funds for Medical Aid for Palestinians.

With a fragile ceasefire now in place, it is more important than ever for us to lend support to organisations who are delivering life saving aid on the ground in Gaza.

MAP provide immediate medical aid to the hundreds of thousands of displaced, injured and traumatised people who have endured two years of genocide. They also work to develop local capacity and skills to ensure the long-term development of the Palestinian healthcare system.

The inimitable Kathryn Joseph and Lomond Campbell will lend their talents and headline the evening, in Kathryn’s first return to An Lanntair since her sell-out show of 2021. Expect a set of material from their new 2025 album WE WERE MADE PREY, recorded at Black Bay Studio in Lewis and released via Rock Action Records.

The evening will also feature support from local musicians as well as a programme of Palestinian poetry and film and talks (TBA).

About Kathryn Joseph:
Joining forces with Lomond Campbell, Kathryn’s delicate yet visceral sound continues to evolve, seamlessly blending intimate, unfiltered lyrics with rich, atmospheric layers of piano, keyboards, and electronic elements. Their long-standing collaboration has been instrumental in pushing her music into darker, more experimental territory, amplifying the raw emotional power at its core.

Reflecting on the album’s transformation in the studio, she says, “The songs were angry, but in a small way. Until Lomond added all this beautiful noise, and suddenly they were angry in a much bigger way, in an exciting way, and so full of want.”

Since the album’s release, Kathryn has been focused on touring. Following a summer of regional shows across Scotland and a European tour with Mogwai in September, she is now performing across the UK with Lomond Campbell.
