Artist and printmaker Gill Thompson is based in Back and has used her experience of teaching printmaking workshops at An Lanntair and at various venues around the islands to create EXPLORING PRINTMAKING which is published by Bloomsbury Press.
It is a practical introduction to a variety of printmaking techniques that can be done at home without the need for a press or expensive equipment. It has easy-to-follow instructions with illustrations for each method. Aimed at both beginners and more experienced artists who are looking for new ideas to experiment with, it covers both traditional and alternative methods of getting creative.
