Creative Summer art studio sessions for young people age 12 – 16 led by artist Kirsten Mcilroy. Each day will start with observational drawing which you will develop into expressive painting, printmaking and ceramic artworks. The Art Studio will be held in An Lanntair’s art room and outdoors in Stornoway (weather dependent).
Come to all 3 days (the activities will be different), or come when you can. Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting messy and bring clothing suitable for drawing outdoors. There will be a lunchbreak at 12.30.
This project is part of An Lanntair’s Youth Arts Project supported by Young Start. Young Start aims to create opportunities for Scotland’s children and young people aged 8 to 24 to help them realise their full potential. Young Start is a grants programme run by The National Lottery Community Fund, which distributes money from dormant bank accounts.
