Changes to Full Circle

At the end of May, funding for the current phase of our Full Circle project comes to an end. Over the past 5 years, An Lanntair’s small team of Arts Workers have delivered over 2750 sessions in community venues throughout Lewis and Harris as part of this project. This has included Family Music, Movement + Dance, Mini-Makes, Creative Play, Drama Llamas, Out and About Holiday workshops, and tailored sessions supporting disadvantaged families. Hundreds of children, young people, parents and carers have benefitted from the provision of free, inspiring and enjoyable creative activities.

We are not in a position to carry on with most of our Full Circle workshops at the moment while decisions are pending on funding applications. We are able to continue to run some of the sessions by charging for tickets, and through support from CNES. This includes Creative Play, Mini-Make, Youth Trad, Music Soup and Family Music in An Lanntair, and Movement and Dance in Sandwickhill Studios. Art Lab in An Lanntair will remain free of charge to participants. All Spòrsnis sessions will continue to run due to the generous support of Urras Oighreachd Ghabhsainn. These sessions will be subsidised for participants living in the Galson Estate Trust area. Check the website for available classes and updates on the project.

Saturday Art Clubs, Drama Clubs, Clar, Youth Theatre and Out + About holiday activities will continue, as will all our Creative Learning projects with schools and our work with partner organisations which support disadvantaged families.

We continue to try to find ways to run many more inspiring creative events and activities with families, children and young people.
