An Lanntair has appointed Andrew Eaton-Lewis as its new Artist Support Coordinator.
Andrew will be working to support Hebridean artists through regular networking events at An Lanntair, professional development sessions, one-to-one coaching support and other initiatives. If you are looking for help to develop your creative work you can reach Andrew at andrew@anlanntair.com.
Andrew said: “I’m really looking forward to starting this new role for An Lanntair, and building on the achievements of my predecessor Sandra Kennedy, who was a joy to work with as well as a source of support for my own artistic work. There’s a huge amount of creativity on these islands and I will be doing everything I can to help nurture that.”
Andrew has worked in the arts for over 20 years as a festival and events programmer, theatre producer, writer and editor, and musician. He moved from Edinburgh to the Isle of Lewis in 2018, and has programmed the annual Hebridean Dark Skies Festival since it began in 2019 as well as developing several new theatre projects on the island through his company sruth-mara. As a singer-songwriter he recently signed to island-based label Wee Studio Records, releasing an album earlier this year. Andrew also works with the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival, supporting artists to develop projects exploring mental health, and as Edinburgh festivals editor for the Scotsman, running the world’s most comprehensive Edinburgh festivals coverage each year.
