Children’s Classic Concert’s percussion crazed Mad Hatter, Owen, and cheeky duo Tweedledum and Tweedledee need your help to prepare a topsy turvy tea party fit for Alice. Join us down the rabbit hole in our wacky musical Wonderland and expect the unexpected with performances featuring tea cups and biscuit tins and rhythms guaranteed to get everyone up and dancing. Don’t be late for this very important date!
Available to Lewis or Harris Primary schools on Tuesday 8th March 2022
The Workshop
Musicians deliver a 30-45 minute interactive workshop with individual classes – recommended for stage P4-P7. Pupils can participate on existing school percussion resources, with kitchen utensils brought from home (wooden spoons, tins, graters etc) or on homemade junk instruments. See our Junk Trunk activity pack for details on how to make instruments out of recycling – a great eco class activity ahead of our visit! https://childrensclassicconcerts.co.uk/resources/junk-trunk/
The Performance
A 45-minute concert delivered in school by our percussion quartet featuring well known music, virtuoso performances on an array of tuned and untuned percussion instruments and plenty of joining in.
