He has kept us entertained throughout lockdown as part of the wonderful Comhairle Cèilidhs, and now Willie Campbell is back at An Lanntair for a socially distanced live gig.

Willie’s new album, ‘Nothing’s Going to Bring Me Down’ is out now and available in the An Lanntair shop. The album explores the internal struggle that he lives with of loving the place that you’re from but knowing that you have to leave it to make a living or to achieve the goals that have been set. The first single from the album was issued as a self-released as a taster for the album and went straight into the Scottish Top 40.

Willie will be performing two twenty-minute acoustic sets outside on An Lanntair’s forecourt this Saturday 29th August from 2pm.

Please be aware this a free but ticketed event with only twenty tickets available. Strict social distancing and health and safety measures will be in place. This is a pilot gig for An Lanntair, where we will be trialling a number of measures to support the safety of audiences, performers and staff. We welcome feedback on how you feel about attending and how the gig is set up. Please read the below details carefully:

– The gig will take place on An Lanntair’s forecourt, which will be cordoned off to the public.
– There will be 20 seats – people can sit in family groups or single at a social distance of 2 metres.
– Please do attend if you have booked a ticket – if you know you won’t be able to make it, please let us know and we can pass your ticket to someone else.
– Please only attend if you have a ticket, as we will not be allowing crowds to gather to watch outwith our cordoned off area.
– There will be a one way system in place with one entrance and one exit to the forecourt.
– We have consulted Scottish Government guidance and the local authority.
– Stewards will be on hand to guide ticket holders and answer any questions they may have.
– Test and Protect contact details will be collected
