Join Ness artist David Greenall for this experimental painting workshop using wax painting methods.  Cold Wax Painting is a sculptural painting technique combining wax with pigment or oil paint.  Typically cold wax paintings feature lots of texture as the medium allows you to build up layers, scrape back colour and create glazes. Unlike encaustic, another type of wax painting, cold wax painting does not require the use of heat. Bring a landscape photo.

You’ll have a chance to see David Greenall’s paintings in his exhibition Peantadh is Obair-Chreadha: Painting and Ceramics with fellow Lewis artist Sue Blair, and be inspired to paint an experimental landscape using wax paint.
