Creative Connections is a series of free workshops for adults over the age of 60 in the Western Isles who feel isolated as a result of their circumstances – be it Covid-19 restrictions, geographical remoteness, disability or any other disadvantage.

We will meet together in a series of 4 sessions and begin by telling each other some stories about the place we live in. Stories can be old ones or new. With the inspiration from our own stories and the tales we hear from others; we will make a collage composition of drawings, writing, photographs, objects and fabric. These you will arrange and fix in a box in interesting and beautiful ways.

The inspiration for our work will be loosely based on the wonderful work of Joseph Cornell, and we will spend some time exploring his assemblages and collages, so that you will have plenty of ideas for making your own.

An Lanntair: COVID-Safety guidelines:
– adults should wear a face covering in public areas of the building until seated in the workshop.
– please use hand sanitiser on arrival.
–  the contact details you give on booking may be used for the Scottish Government’s Test and Protect process.
