Stone, Sea and Sky is an exciting project run by the Scottish Civic Trust for Doors Open Days 2019. Stornoway Primary P7b and GM6/7 worked with Edinburgh based design collective Civic Soup this month, exploring our built environment. The children’s drawings and ideas have directly inspired a new sculpture for Lews Castle grounds. Come to see the sculpture and the children’s maps and drawings and meet Civic Soup. Drinks and biscuits provided.
Civic Soup are an Edinburgh-based design collective established in 2016 by a group of architecture graduates. They focus on inclusive design, engaging with diverse communities and encouraging people to take interest in and ownership of our built environment. These common themes influence our varied work, which includes participatory workshops, exhibitions, performative events and built projects.
