These after-school sessions for 5-8 year-olds provide a firm foundation in general musicianship and basic note-reading skills through singing and listening activities, movement and the playing of percussion – tuned and untuned. They act as a great springboard for children interested in beginning a musical instrument, and for those studying one already as they will enhance and develop what has already been learned.
Music theory is taught using Music Mind Games, a colourful, multi-sensory resource comprising hundreds of entertaining and co-operative games designed to tap into children’s natural desire to play.
