“Gnoss are one of those rare birds in folk: a group you can name after hearing their first notes.” Folk Radio UK

Making their An Lanntair debut, Gnoss are set to delight island music-lovers with a dedication to their craft that has placed the band firmly at the fore of what’s happening in Scottish Folk.

With a forward-thinking take on traditional music, alongside the unique warmth of their lives shows, the double ‘Scots Trad Award’ nominees have built an invested following, proven most recently by their two back-to-back sell-out appearances at Glasgow’s world-famous Celtic Connections festival.

The talents of Aidan Moddie (guitar/vocals); Graham Rorie (fiddle/mandolin); Conor Sinclair (flute/whistles/vocals), and Craig Baxter (bodhran/percussion) combine to produce a unique signature sound – a rich tapestry of acoustic layers, outstanding musicianship, deep traditional roots and contemporary compositional flair, creating songs and tunes that are brimming with character.

The boys 2019 release ‘Drawn From Deep Water’ was met with widespread praise for its exemplary interplay, nakedly emotional playing, and chosen material, bringing Gnoss to entranced audiences across France, Italy, Denmark, and Russia, not to mention the length and breadth of the UK.

And the band followed up that success with the release of new album ‘The Light of The Moon’ in May this year.
