Faclan: the Hebridean Book Festival will welcome live audiences back to An Lanntair from Wednesday 27 to Saturday 30 October, with the theme of ‘Islands: Worlds in Isolation’.
Inspired by lockdown, as well as the festival’s uniquely dramatic location on the Isle of Lewis, this year’s Faclan will include fascinating insights into life in a lighthouse, the music of foghorns, the history of moorlands, post-human landscapes, and much more. Once again the festival includes a Faclan Fringe programme, supported by Outer Hebrides LEADER, with additional events at An Lanntair and across the island.
Tickets for individual events are on sale now. You can also buy a festival pass for the special reduced price of £45 (£43 concessions) which will grant you access to events across the festival – please note that the festival pass does not include the Moor tour on Friday morning.
Faclan is a flagship cultural event at An Lanntair, and its dramatic location draws audiences and top-level authors from all over the UK.
