An Lanntair’s Artist Gatherings are monthly social events for island artists of all disciplines – music, film, theatre, visual art, arts & crafts etc. You do not need to be established or professional to come along – everyone is welcome and we are here to support all forms of creativity.
Each month we invite two special guests to talk about their work. In April we’re delighted to welcome:
Scott C Park is already well known on the island as a singer-songwriter, as well as supporting countless other musicians as a studio engineer for Wee Studio. This year his profile is set to rise further as he prepares to release his debut solo album, as well as playing a full band set at HebCelt. (This Artist Gathering appearance was postponed from March).
Alicia Matthews is an artist working across various art-forms who has exhibited/performed across the UK at Tate Modern & Tate Britain, Tramway, Camden Arts Centren. Now living on Lewis, Alicia will be talking about all aspects of her work, from making music as Sue Zuki to working internationally on art projects from New York to Guangzhou and Lublin.
This event is part of An Lanntair’s Artist Support Programme, supported by the Foyle Foundation.
If you’d like to share your work at a future Artist Gathering, contact Andrew Eaton-Lewis at andrew@anlanntair.com. All contributors will be paid a fee.
Our next Artist Gathering will be on Friday 31 May.
