The workshop explores passages from Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island, a novel written after the author came across his own son drawing a treasure map, and uses these as a starting point for creative thinking. With the quartet, the pupils will explore how different soundscapes created by the four instruments of the string quartet can evoke emotions ranging from elation to fear, and using these they will work together to create their very own treasure map and journey across the island to find the hidden treasure.
