’S e pròiseact ùr a th’ ann an Cuirmean sna Coimhearsnachdan a tha An Lanntair a’ cur air bhonn le taic bho Bhòrd na Gàidhlig agus ’s e prògram gu tur Gàidhealach a th’ ann.
Bidh na tachartasan gu lèir ann an sgìrean dùthchail agus bidh iad a’ cur prìomhachas air ar cànan, cultar, ceòl agus am beairteas de luchd-ealain a th’ againn, tro chuirmean le òrain Ghàidhlig is ceòl pìoba, òraidean, cèilidhean is iomadach rud eile. Bidh am prògram seo Gàidhealach ann an susbaint agus anns an dòigh a thèid a lìbhrigeadh, le fear no bean-an-taighe a’ stiùireadh nan tachartasan.
Tha na ciad tachartasan anns an t-sreath a’ gabhail àite ann an Talla Ghrinneabhat ann am Bradhagar eadar an 10mh agus an 11mh den Dùbhlachd.
’S e Graham MacIllinean is a chòmhlan a bhios air an àrd-ùrlar oidhche Haoine. Cuide ri Graham air a’ bhucas, bidh Crìsdean Dòmhnallach air a’ phìob agus Ian Angus Macleòid air na drumaichean agus gun teagamh sam bith cumaidh an triùir sin sibh a’ dannsa fad na h-oidhche.
’S i Ceitlin Lilidh a bhios againn oidhche Shathairne le òrain mhath Ghàidhlig à Leòdhas, is gu sònraichte bhon Taobh Siar. Na cuideachd bidh Innes White agus Ali Paterson.
Thuirt Oifigear Gàidhlig An Lanntair, Calum Friseal: “Tha sinn a’ dèanamh fiughar ris a’ phròiseact seo is ri fhaighinn a-mach gu coimhearsnachdan air feadh an eilein le tachartasan air leth. Tha sinn làn dòchais gur e pròiseact cudromach a bhios ann agus gu faigh sinn air tachartasan Gàidhlig a chur air dòigh sna coimhearsnachdan gu cunbhalach anns an àm ri teachd.
“Bidh tachartasan air an lìbhrigeadh gu tur ann an Gàidhlig agus tha sinn an dòchas gun tig coimhearsnachdan air fad cruinn còmhla agus gur i a’ Ghàidhlig a bhios iad a’ bruidhinn.”

Cuirmean sna Coimhearsnachdan is a new project organised by An Lanntair with support from Bòrd na Gàidhlig, bringing Gaelic song and culture to community venues in the Western Isles.
A new series of events will take place in communities throughout the island, celebrating Gaelic song, culture and music through a programme that will include pipe music, cèilidhs, lectures, Gaelic song and all sorts, as well as being delivered entirely through Gaelic.
The first events are due to take place on the Friday 10 and Saturday 11 December at Grinneabhat Centre in Bragar.
The Graham Maclennan Trio will be joining us on Friday night. Along with Graham on the box will be Crìsdean Dòmhnallach on pipes and Iain Angus MacLeòid on drums – a trio sure to keep folk dancing all night.
And Saturday night is sure to be a wonderful evening, with Ceitlin Lilidh performing Gaelic songs from Lewis along with Innes White and Ali Paterson.
An Lanntair Gaelic Officer, Calum Fraser, said: “We are really looking forward to getting out in the communities with these events. We think this could be a really important project and are hoping to regularly programme Gaelic events in different communities going forward.
“These events will be a celebration of Gaelic, and delivered through Gaelic and it would be great to see communities come together for that.”
Tickets to The Graham Maclennan Trio and Ceitlin Lilidh shows are available from Grinneabhat Centre – call on 01851 710210 / email: info@bragararnol.org / or visit the Facebook page at: www.facebook.com/BragarArnol
