Constellation | reul-bhad : gallery workshops for schools

Constellation | reul-bhad is an exhibition of artworks by 7 artists  (Jon Macleod, Jill Smith, Trish Bell, Judy Spark, Mhairi Law, Jonathan Macdonald, and Moira Maclean) in response to the Dark Skies festival’s themes of astronomy, darkness, and our night skies.

Workshops are available for schools with artist and educator Alice Macmillan.  Classes will tour the exhibition then make constellation telescopes to view the stars through. We will learn about some of the constellations and how they got their names. We will shape and fold card to create the telescopes and decorate them with stars and planets. We’ll make a selection of constellation cards to view through our finished telescopes.

Suitable for: P4-7
