Short-listed for the Daiwa Foundation Art Prize 2015, this remarkable artist and film-maker has, over 25 years, spent prolonged spells living and creating art in remote terrains, from Jura and Mingulay to the Namibian and Libyan deserts.
Her films are conceived as part of the process rather than as documentary records and they create a ‘three-dimensional immersive experience’ while introducing an element of permanence to works that will slowly erode back into the ground.
