Leaving Home is dramatic new body of photographs by former Buzzcocks drummer, John Maher, who now lives in Harris, and Fife-based vet Ian Paterson.
Together they offer an alternative view to the Hebrides photographic vernacular of wide sandy beaches, flowering machair, standing stones and dramatic vistas and weather.
The exhibition documents and reflects on the abandonment of croft houses throughout the Western Isles. Many images are accompanied by text passages detailing the memories of those who either grew up there, or who remember them when they were still homes.
John and Ian have spent the last two years researching, locating and photographing what remains of these houses. The show consists of approximately 50 photographic prints, including several large format presentations.
