Thursdays in term time, 10.30am – 11.30am
Taigh Dhonnchaidh, Habost, Port of Ness
These fun music sessions are for babies, toddlers and their families to enjoy making music together. They are run by Full Circle Arts Worker Heather Moger, an experienced music teacher who has recently moved to Stornoway from York. In York she ran a teaching practice, Music at Heart, building a sense of community among pre-school families through shared music-making – a perfect fit with Full Circle!
The sessions will begin with an informal gathering time, when the children can explore the instruments and be creative with sound. Then there will be songs, musical games and movement, when we can all have fun doing things together. At the end, you’ll be given a little journal to note down any golden moments you’ve enjoyed, and the children wind down with a box of books to read. Be assured of a warm welcome and an encouraging smile!
The sessions are free and you don’t have to book.
Full Circle is an exciting project run by An Lanntair which aims to enable families to experience the arts together and to be creative. Full Circle reduces the barriers to participation by providing high quality, inspiring and free opportunities in An Lanntair and in community venues throughout Lewis and Harris. The project is funded through the Aspiring Communities Fund with support from the European Social Fund.
