Theatre Summer School for ages 8 – 13

The Scottish Youth Theatre return this Summer to deliver another exciting programme of devising theatre with young people.

Using the theme of identity, truth and lies, this one week course will ask participants to explore and question what they have been told up to this crucial point in their lives. Everything from silly fibs, tall tales, folklore and things we tell each other.

As we grow older, how do we be true to ourselves?  How do we express that to others?

Over the course of the week participants will work with Theatre Artist, Fraser MacLeod and Composer/Sound Designer Ross Brown from the Scottish Youth Theatre and use theatre, movement, music and storytelling to devise their own piece of theatre which they will perform to an audience on the last day of the course.

The course will take place at Lews Castle College.
