A half-day creative writing workshop exploring memories of cinema-going, led by poet and writer, Nalini Paul and writer and film academic, Sarah Neely. The session will include a number of guided exercises aimed to stimulate your creativity and reflect on your own experiences of going to the cinema.
Free and open to writers of all levels of experience. Beginners very welcome! However, the workshop is not suitable for anyone under the age of 18. Bring your pen and paper.
This workshop is being held as part of a three-year research project on the history of the Highlands and Islands Film Guild, a collaborative project between the University of Glasgow and University of Stirling. As part of the project, we are also hosting a writing competition on the theme of memories of cinema-going. The deadline for submissions is November 15, 2017.
