Kilt making with Netty Sopata (Diggory Brown)
Through theoretical presentation, demonstration and assisted practical application you will be given the opportunity to make a traditional Kilt, either for a child or an adult. You will use a combination of modern sewing techniques and traditional hand tailoring techniques.
Please note, you will have to bring your own fabric for the 2nd week but full instructions and details will be provided in the first class. You will need 2-4m of Tweed or Tartan (£15 – 25pm), 1/2m of canvas (£8.00), chalk (£2.00), lining (£15.00) and thread (£5.00).
