Introduction to Argentine Tango with Louise Davidson

Join us for a fun basic introduction into the beautiful dance of Argentine tango. Steeped in history and meaning, we will look at why this dance touches the heart of all who try it.

Unlike Ballroom Tango with very strict movements, Argentine Tango is a relaxed walking dance, characterized by its improvisation and musicality using simple moves. There are no set sequences to remember and can be enjoyed at all ages. It allows individuals to express and communicate with others in a fun, positive and socially integrated way.

No experience is necessary and can be enjoyed by all ages and abilities; there is no need to bring a partner.

Louise Davidson is an Ex Professional U.S Ballroom and Latin championship finalist where she ran one of New York’s top dance studios before returning to the UK. She has trained extensively with The Spanish Dance Society and has participated and delivered dance workshops in the UK and Spain for numerous council and private initiatives including Royal Academy of Music and Drama and Sottish Opera.
