The knitting needles are already in action down in Kyles Scalpaigh creating this year’s Geansaidh Buidhe for the best dressed rider. This year we will also have a Geansaidh Geal for the best young rider.
Join us for another spiffing cycle around the town and your chance to win the prestigious prize of a hand knitted Geansaidh.
Finishing off at An Lanntair for scones and jam just in time for the start of our food and Craft festival day.
Booking essential as places are limited.
All riders under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
At least one week before the Harris Tweed Cycle Ride, participants will receive a welcome email and full instructions, a map of the cycle route around Stornoway and details and timings. Any questions before then, please feel free to email email@example.com
Any registered riders can contact the Harris Tweed Authority at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 01851 702269 to borrow one of their Harris Tweed garments.
Lewis Revival (who are having a stall at the craft and cookery festival) will give a 10% discount all day Saturday to tweed wearers.
Note: Roads will not be closed for this event. All riders must follow the Highway Code for cyclists, wear a helmet, be responsible for ensuring that their bike is roadworthy. Riders participate at their own risk.
