Dinosaurs, Ducks, Hares and Tortoises : Alison Murray
Literature event for P1 – 3 (English)
How do we get mood and personality into picture book characters? Alison will read from two of her most recent books Hare and Tortoise and Dino Duckling and after a brief explanation of the structure of picture book stories, will take a closer look at how to create expressive picture book characters with line, mark making and colour. She will give an insight into how she works as an illustrator, and the children will get a chance to practice what they have learned by creating their own version of a character in one of Alison’s stories.
Contact Moira Macdonald on firstname.lastname@example.org to book seats for your class. This event is free and supported by the Scottish Book Trust Live Literature scheme.
